Exchange of experience and new vectors of development
A series of meetings of the center's staff and technical specialists from the company's commercial service are taking place at the Metadynea Research and Development Center. The purpose of the events is to delve deeper into the nuances of working with consumers of products, to identify promising areas of research that are demanded now or will be demanded in the coming years.
The event format was developed and implemented in 2024 for the rapid exchange of information between the staff of the Development Center and the technical specialists of the commercial service. During the discussions, the participants share information about the conditions of resin application, the difficulties faced by customers and the vectors of product development.
—The staff of the Development Center have the opportunity to get to know more about the practical aspects of product application by interacting with specialists who communicate closely with consumers and have extensive experience," said Sergey Ivanov, Head of the Resin Research and Development Center.
The next meeting was held on February 27 and was dedicated to resins for plywood production. Technical specialists in this field, Evgenia Balakhonova and Dmitry Shcherbakov, spoke about the current situation in the resin market, presented the key stages of plywood production and focused on practical experience of working with resin consumers, including suggestions for improving resin properties and selecting adhesive solutions to meet customer requirements. During the discussion, the features of various plywood production technologies available on the market were demonstrated.
Given the limited access of the R&D center's specialists to the clients' production sites, photos and videos clearly demonstrating the plywood production process, including the process of preparing adhesives based on synthetic resins from Metadynea, aroused particular interest.
At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed promising research areas and potential projects on resins for plywood production based on feedback from technologists of plywood enterprises. Optimization of technology for the use of new components and improvement of product performance while maintaining environmental and safety requirements are particularly highlighted among the key tasks.
